Strategy Lead, Forests and Nature for People
Jessica Webb is the Strategy Lead, Forests and Nature for People at World Resources Institute. Jessica leads efforts to enable the locally-led protection of forests and community forest rights across the tropics by supporting stakeholders in harnessing the best available data for monitoring and management, identifying gaps in data, technology and research and deploying strategies to address those gaps, tracking progress on global efforts related to forest protection with an emphasis on the human dimensions of forest change, and mobilizing resources and networks to support sustainable forest management and rights.
Jessica has over 15 years of experience working on issues at the intersection of ecosystem conservation and inclusive land governance, including environmental democracy and accountability, livelihoods, sustainability standards, and the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities. Jessica holds a Master of Environmental Management from the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale University and an MA in International Environmental Policy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
